quote

" I'm an alumnus of Bobby Rydell's swingin' school"

background explanations/exclamations of signature-quotes

in one of Bobby Rydell’s song lines is the subject “swingin’ school” which I presume is a “school for swingers” which probably offers a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in “swinging”. Writing a dissertation or thesis on the subject, I would imagine, must require the deepest thought and concentration, but I honestly couldn’t say whether or not that kind of school is considered Ivy League. Otherwise, I don’t know what the rest of that song is all about(I forgot the rest of the words in his lyrics). Sorry about my ignorance about his song, but as you could probably understand, nobody could possibly know or remember everything(I don’t care who you are). Neither does my baby, for that matter. One of the lyrics in the Beatles’ song “she’s got a ticket to ride “ is as follows: “she’s got a ticket to rahhhhhhhhh-ahhhhhhhh-ahhhd, my baby don’ care”. I couldn’t tell you the reason she doesn’t(or don’t) care, but that phrase is part of that song line(which doesn’t particularly remind me of the Rock Island line, the line of least resistance, or the Rock Island line of scrimmage. Or the line “my baby who does the hanky-panky” was ‘walkin’ down on”, for that matter. I also honestly know nothing about Bobby Rydell himself, but I thought it might sound impressive to women I meet at parties or through compute-a-date services if I tell them that I’m an alumnus of that school. would they be impressed enough to throw themselves at my feet and scream out, “lee, baby! gimme a horsie-back ride, daddy-o!”? next time I go to a party, especially if the crowd is mostly “high end”, there’s only one way for me to find out. I presume that it must be a school of prestige where even a straight a grade-point average won’t guarantee getting in, but your guess on that’s as good as mine.
