when I was younger(or “when I was a lad”) I used to go to clothes shops
or garment sections of department stores with my parents and sister. I
understand that having clothes to wear is important(in this culture and
climate, anyway), but my parents and sister used to spend what I
personally thought was a long time looking at and trying on clothes in
the clothes shops are department stores. Sometimes there was not even a
place to sit. Sometimes they would also have me keep trying on clothes
for what I also thought seemed like a long time, even though the actual
timespan was probably about 1 or 2 hours at most. As a result, I would
get bored. Now I like buying costume or vintage clothes because I’ve
found them useful for video, film, or other productions or because
they’re “something different”, but spending 1 or 2 hours’ worth of time
trying on clothes or waiting for somebody else to keep trying on
clothes in clothes shops bores me. Now I’m even bored with discussion
of how much experiences of this kind bore me and the fact that they
bored me in the past. I’m not “knocking” my parents(who are no longer
around), but I was a young kid who was too young to just wander
off to do something else by myself. You’re probably bored with my
lengthy discussion of this already, especially since so much has
recently happened on this planet and since “worrying” about clothes is
about the least of quite a few people’s worries. But you’re not alone
if you’re bored by my overly lengthy discussion of this. In fact, I’m
probably more bored with my discussion of this than you are. If I keep
talking about this, you’ll probably be bored by my snores. Sometimes
I’m also bored waiting in waiting rooms, but right at this time I
wouldn’t want to bore you with a lengthy discussion about that which by
now would probably drive you crazy. But be thankful that you’ve got the
choice(or freedom) to not listen to or bother to read this.
